Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name, location, or other query entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Union County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages

We retain an email or contact message as needed to respond. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.

Automatic Technical Data

Routine logs and analytics may collect technical facts when a page loads.

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • Referring site, when available
  • Date and time stamps

Cookies

Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can block or remove them, though some features may then behave differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected information supports site operations and service delivery.

  • Maintain speed and reliable page operation
  • Send search requests to the selected partner
  • Measure which resources visitors use
  • Detect and correct technical faults
  • Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests

External Sites and Illinois Records

Links may lead to Union and Pulaski release-record offices, sheriff and IDOC pages, government portals, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy terms apply. Illinois public-record access is governed in part by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, but this privacy notice governs only this private site.

Some advertising providers may measure activity across multiple sites to select ads. That tracking occurs through their systems, not records hosted here.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may reach:

  • Search partners processing a submitted query
  • Analytics providers measuring site use
  • Advertising networks delivering ads
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Security Practices

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used to protect information. No internet-connected service is fully secure, so we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion if a minor submitted information.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and verification, a person may ask to:

  • Receive a copy of personal data we hold
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete personal data where required
  • Opt out of certain processing where available

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal duties change. An updated version will appear here with a new effective date.
